The Museum is seeking a “can do” Accounts Payable Administrator. Reporting to the Controller and Director of Finance, this position manages the day-to-day accounts payable transactions for the Museum. The Accounts Payable Administrator coordinates and performs confidential and diversified administrative services for the Finance Department, accounts for Function Rentals activities, prepares account analyses and journal entries, and creates supporting schedules as assigned. As a representative of the Finance team, this position partners with other PEM departments and senior leadership to accomplish collaborative goals related to accounts payable.
An Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required along with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Candidates must possess basic knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable, chart of accounts, general ledger systems, and financial procedures. Ability to navigate through a complex organization with diplomacy and professionalism is required. Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills are a must. Ability to perform mathematical computations and accounts reconciliations along with solid computer skills using google mail and Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Netsuite is a plus. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as with a team in a high volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Experience working in a non-profit organization is preferred. The hourly range for this role is $21.63 to $26.50 commensurate with experience.
