Job Description
The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate closely with neurosurgery physicians and the care team to deliver comprehensive patient care across the continuum-pre-, intra-, and post-operative. Responsibilities include assessing, managing, and coordinating neurosurgical health concerns, providing timely referrals when necessary, and ensuring seamless care transitions. This role also encompasses neurosurgery call coverage, inpatient management, and assisting in the operating room as needed.

- Rotating shifts, including weekends and evenings
Required Credentials:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician's Assistant program OR Nurse Practitioner program with Acute Care certification.
- Current licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Graduate of an approved formal training program for surgical assisting or appropriate related certification from an approved military surgical assisting program.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges with The MetroHealth System within 90 days of placement within position and maintain privileges.
Preferred experience:
- Experience in neurosurgery or spine surgery is preferred, but not required
