Job Title:  Assembler    

Reports To:    Department Supervisor 

Department:      

Grade:   2    

Classification:    Hourly

Summary of Job:

Assembler is responsible for constructing products and components in a production environment. This role involves following detailed instructions, working with various tools, and ensuring the final product meets quality standard.

Essential Job Functions: (responsibilities, duties and standards of the position, including supervisory level and reporting relationship)

  1. Adhering to company safety standards and wearing required protective gear during assembly.
  2. Ensure workstations are clean and free from hazard to promote a safe working environment.
  3. Reading and interpreting work orders to assemble parts and product.
  4. Using hand tools, power tools or automated equipment to assemble components and product.
  5. Inspecting parts and assembling product and ensuring they meet specified standards and making adjustments as necessary.
  6. Cleaning and maintaining tools and assembly equipment to ensure proper function.
  7. Working efficiently to meet daily production quotas and timelines.
  8. Monitor and maintain production speed while ensuring high quality assembly.
  9. Identifying and reporting any assembly or material defects to supervisor or leadership.

Qualifications and Skills: (in terms of experience, education & training)

  1. Familiarity with tools, machinery or technology used in assembly process.
  2. Ability to work with hands in small, precise movements for assembling components and product.
  3. Attention to detail. Ensuring each part is assembled and product is accurately meeting quality standards.
  4. Understanding detailed instruction to complete task.
  5. Identify any issues during assembly and resolving them efficiently.
  6. Collaborating effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced production environment.
  7. Ability to troubleshoot minor issues.

Occasional Duties:

1.       Cross training as required.

2.       Work overtime as needed.

Safety/Environmental/Physical Demands:

1.       Must be able to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.

2.       Capable of working in a loud environment.

3.       Must be able to work in a warm environment of up to 100 degrees or over.

4.       Capable of getting in and out of boats.

5.       Must be able to lift 50lbs pounds.
