Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as the Assistant Program Director!
Our residential programs provide a framework from which to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or brain injuries learn daily living skills, develop meaningful relationships, and gain opportunities from becoming part of their community. Our dedicated staff creates a safe, warm environment and supports the residents in participating in community activities, providing transportation to medical appointments, managing their finances, and much more!
The Assistant Director, in collaboration with the Director of Residential Services, is responsible for ensuring that services and supports will be provided in accordance with Riverside’s Mission Statement and policies, and consistent with DDS requirements. The Assistant Director will directly supervise our residential programs and will also be responsible for coverage of the cluster in the absence of the Program Director.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is an innovative, mission-driven strong communicator, and demonstrates strong problem-solving skills!
Schedule: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm with a need to be flexible to meet program and on-call needs
Rate: $28.80/hr

Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in the English language) and the ability to make effective public presentations required
- Must be able to work in excess of 40 hours per week, provide 24-hour on-call coverage on rotation and to respond to emergency calls as necessary
- Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office, required
- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required
Required Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- At least four years residential experience, including at least two years in a supervisory and management capacity, required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability in budget management, program development and personnel management required.
- Must have current training/certification in First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration (MAP), HIV/AIDS and Infection Control, or be trained within designated timelines. Must maintain valid certifications throughout employment
