About This Role

The Associate Director of Change Management - R&D will be responsible for overseeing and managing the change management processes related to ongoing and future technological advances that will be implemented in Safety & Regulatory Operations, Medical Writing and Benefit Risk Management (SABR), including AI initiatives and platform technology implementations and/or significant changes within SABR and across drug development. SABR will own and manage several platform technologies within drug development, including central management of Biogen's product information. This role involves developing and implementing change management strategies to ensure successful adoption and integration of new systems and processes that will impact the highly regulated domains within SABR. Change management leadership will be critical for AI initiatives, as they will change/evolve processes, roles, and responsibilities across the organization. The Associate Director will work closely with various departments across drug development, including IT & PO&T, to ensure that changes are effectively communicated and implemented.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement change management strategies related to AI initiatives and Veeva platform process and potential resource changes.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to understand the impact of changes and develop appropriate change management plans.
  • Lead implementation of change management activities, including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and support.
  • Lead, monitor, and assess the change impact and readiness of the organization and develop strategies to address any resistance to change

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with change management certification required.
  • Proven experience in change management, preferably as a business lead for the implementation of new systems, technologies and IT platforms.
  • Excellent ability to align individuals with program goals and to build consensus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent leadership, matrix management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning and implementation.
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, ACMP).

Preferred Skills

  • Masters Degree preferred in MBA or similar
  • Strong understanding of how AI will transform life science and platform transitions.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $159,000.00-$219,000.00


Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance.
