Associate Director, Consumer Marketing LYBALVI
Job Description
The Associate Director of Consumer Marketing will be responsible for developing and implementing tactical marketing programs, primarily for consumers and caregivers, supporting the bipolar 1 disorder and schizophrenia indications of LYBALVI. This includes Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) strategy, media plan, content development, and analysis. The position requires an experienced and highly motivated individual with strong strategic and leadership capabilities.
Alkermes has recently adopted a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Manages the execution of consumer promotional campaigns for LYBALVI®
Crafts actionable assignment briefs for creative agencies
Manages the development of the consumer media plan, channel allocation, targeting and measurement required to deliver on business and brand objectives
Understands the beliefs and behaviors of bipolar 1 and schizophrenia patients
Has strong command of bipolar-1 and schizophrenia patient journeys
Manages and reconciles consumer marketing budget including SOW approvals, change orders and accruals
Partners with Director, Senior Management and agencies to forecast, analyze and optimize DTC spend across channels
Guides branded and unbranded creative through the Medical, Legal and Regulatory review and approval process in Veeva PromoMats
Collaborates with Market Research to continuously generate actionable patient insights from reoccurring and ad-hoc studies
Ensures patient perspective is infused into HCP team strategies
Manage other marketing initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, science, or related field
10+ years of professional marketing or related experience
Preferred Skills and Knowledge Qualifications:
7+ years of marketing experience, with significant experience in DTC pharma/life sciences
Deep media/advertising (TV, CTV, digital, social, display, SEM, audio) planning and creative execution experience
Manage and influence innovative consumer projects through a matrixed organization
Translate brand plan marketing strategies into tactics activations
Strong ability to build & foster relationships through effective communication
Advanced analytical skills, integrating media performance data with marketing mix modeling, optimizing ROI and channel allocation
Demonstrated success managing ad agencies, and media/measurement partners
Experience with Veeva PromoMats preferred
Travel Requirements:
Overnight travel <15%
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $195,000. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.
