Project Overview:This role supports a confidential new product launch in the credit card servicing space for both consumer and business banking. The engineer will contribute to the Android mobile channel, focusing on Extend Pay, Wallets, and Debt Collection features—key revenue-generating products available across online and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and maintenance of test automation frameworks for both frontend (UI) and backend systems.
- Build and execute automated tests for Android mobile applications using Java, Appium, and Selenium.
- Develop and maintain integration and API tests (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and quality assurance.
- Manage and assign tasks to offshore QA teams, track progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and validation of patches/releases.
- Evaluate and implement open-source testing tools and frameworks.
- Drive test strategy and advocate for a quality-first mindset across the team.
- Strong experience with Java, Selenium, and Appium for UI and mobile test automation.
- Experience with BrowserStack for cross-browser and accessibility testing.
- Solid understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman and RestAssured.
- Proven ability to lead in complex, fast-paced environments with minimal oversight.
- Prior experience in financial services or fintech environments.
- Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber or Cypress.
- Experience with cloud-based test automation platforms (e.g., SeeTest).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git, and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK stack, Grafana, Splunk).
- Experience with database testing (SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in QA automation, with at least 5 years in mobile and UI testing.
