Job Description

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8 hours daily, 5 days per week, with variable start times 730-8am including weekends. Travel requirement to satellite and main location

Primary skills utilized/learned:
  • Performs quality recordings of ultrasound images of the heart in order to assess cardiovascular and hemodynamic functions in children through adult patients.

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved school of ultrasound/cardiovascular techniques
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RMCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or obtains registry within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS Certification.
  • Must have knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to satellite clinics.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in imaging stress tests

Physical Requirements:
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day.
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
  • Ability to lift 250-300 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
  • Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
