Electrophysiologist Cardiac Surgery & Structural Heart Program

Location: Illinois License Requirement: Must hold an active Illinois medical license

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Electrophysiologist to join our dynamic and rapidly expanding Cardiac Surgery and Structural Heart Program. With the anticipated departure of our current EP physician, this role is critical to maintaining uninterrupted access to advanced electrophysiology services. The position offers a balanced mix of clinic work, ambulatory procedures, and inpatient call coverage, making it ideal for a physician who thrives in a collaborative, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology services

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional EP procedures, including:

    • Insertion, revision, replacement, and removal of pacemakers and cardioverter/defibrillators

    • Cardiac rhythm conversion

    • Percutaneous cardiac rhythm measurement

    • Cardiac ablation procedures

    • Watchman device implantation

    • Loop recorder implantation and removal

  • Provide consultative support for patients under hospitalist and ICU services

  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary care for cardiac surgery and structural heart patients

Schedule & Call Coverage
  • 24-hour call shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM

  • Expect a mix of clinic visits, ambulatory procedures, and inpatient consults throughout the week

Ideal Candidate
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Electrophysiology

  • Holds an active Illinois medical license

  • Experienced in advanced EP procedures and device management

  • Committed to high-quality patient care and team collaboration
