We are seeking a board certified or board eligible Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of post-training experience to join a growing outpatient cardiology practice in the Bronx. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity within a large multispecialty group.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Job Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with cardiologists to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The ideal candidate has experience or a strong interest in outpatient cardiology and demonstrates strong clinical judgment and collaborative skills.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including detailed histories and physical examinations
Evaluate and manage patients with hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hyperlipidemia, and other cardiac conditions
Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter/event monitors, labs)
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
Prescribe medications and manage ongoing therapies according to clinical guidelines
Provide patient education regarding disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
Accurately document all clinical encounters in the EMR
Coordinate care with referring providers, imaging centers, and ancillary services
Support quality initiatives and clinical protocols within the cardiology service line
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
Active New York license or ability to obtain
Minimum of 1 year post-training clinical experience
Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Bilingual Spanish is a plus, but not required
Organization Information
Competitive salary range: $140,000-$160,000 annually
