Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain lab equipment (e.g., reactors, filtration systems).
  • Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples.
  • Perform chemical separations and extractions under supervision.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and observations thoroughly.
  • Maintain lab organization, safety protocols, and inventory.
  • Assist in scaling processes from bench to pilot level.
  • Collaborate with scientists to iterate on experiments and improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related field — or equivalent lab experience.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on lab or industrial experience (internships welcome).
  • Comfortable handling chemicals and following lab safety standards.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment and work in a hands-on environment.
  • Enthusiastic about building from the ground up in a startup setting.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with wet chemistry, solvent extraction, or inorganic separations.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques (ICP-OES, titration, spectroscopy).
  • Background in R&D or pilot lab environments.
  • Interest in sustainability, green chemistry, or circular economy systems.
