Step into an instrumental role in our primary office location in Concord NH. Assist Financial Advisors with the smooth operation of a fast-paced-and friendly-Financial Planning and Asset Management Firm. Work as a team member of an award winning, nationally ranked, private wealth practice of Ameriprise Financial, Inc. This position offers excellent exposure to applicants that are new to the Financial Services Industry and values those applicants with previous experience. It is a launching pad for growth within our expanding Practice and provides the foundation for multiple career paths.
The Client Service Specialist will primarily assist Financial Advisor(s) in the Financial Planning and Investment workflow - from meeting preparation to account monitoring, to deliverables. It Includes working with clients to resolve ad-hoc issues and special projects as required. With a focus on Enhanced Tax Planning as part of the financial planning process, accounting or tax experience is a huge plus. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.

Responsibilities and time allocation will change over time to meet the needs of the Practice and can include other duties as assigned.

Position Functions:

Financial Planning & Advice/Product Solutions

  • Prepare preliminary financial planning and meeting preparation using proprietary Ameriprise tools

  • Prepare appropriate sales material and paperwork for new accounts, product applications, account maintenance and related client service

  • Monitor account asset allocations and models as directed by Advisor, trading activity, maturing securities, client suitability, and fiduciary account review process

Client Service & Management

  • Emphasis on delivering a "WOW" client experience

  • Maintain client profiles, document interactions, schedule using Salesforce CRM tool

  • Resolve ad-hoc client questions and complete transactions, money movement, and routine client account maintenance

Key Traits of a Successful Client Service Specialist

  • Attention to detail and organization with a strong sense of accountability and respect for compliance environment

  • Emphasis on quality output and ability to discern next-steps and follow-through on multi-step action items

  • Knowledge of general office procedures and investment concepts and practices

  • Confident, polished, and articulate with polite and clear communication skills

  • Emotional competence and commitment to professionalism in stressful situations,

  • Ability to travel to satellite office locations within the state of NH

Education and Other Designations:

  • College degree in business, finance or accounting preferred; some college combined with below qualifications considered

  • Previous industry or accounting experience and licensing prioritized, if not:

    • Must have previous client service or administrative experience

    • Willingness to pursue licensing, certifications, and designations within the finance industry

    • *NOTE - if not already appropriately licensed, growth in the Practice will require federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and health insurance licenses

Salary and hours:

  • $50-$70,000 depending on education, experience, and licensing

  • Full-time, in-person, in Concord NH
