Job Description
The Configuration Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining the integrity and traceability of project configuration and data management processes. The Configuration Analyst will coordinate with various teams to ensure that configuration and data management activities align with program needs and company policies. This role is critical in ensuring that all program data is accurately tracked, documented, and accessible, supporting efficient, high-quality program execution.
This position is a on-site role and does not offer remote option.
Relocation assistance is not available.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure all project changes are accurately tracked and documented via Configuration Control Boards (CCB).
• Manage and maintain configuration items (CIs), including their documentation, records, and lifecycle from creation through decommission.
• Develop and maintain data management plans, ensuring data is accurately captured, stored, and retrieved in accordance with policies.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of configuration items and data to verify compliance with company standards and program requirements.
• Prepare and present reports on configuration and data management activities to program leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of configuration and data management processes.
• Performing general systems engineering duties as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience; Master's degree or PhD and 0 years of related experience; 6+ years of related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• Strong understanding of configuration and data management principles, standards, and best practices.
• Proficient with configuration management tools and software (e.g., IBM Rational ClearCase, Git, Bitbucket).
• Experience in maintaining and auditing CM/DM records and documentation.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
• Certification in Configuration Management (CM2, ITIL, etc.).
• Familiarity with defense or aerospace project requirements and documentation standards.
• Experience with Agile project management methodologies.

Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
