Full-Time

Job Description

Job Description:

Berklee is seeking a creative, student-centered professional to serve as the Coordinator of Campus Programs and Traditions, a vital role in helping bring Berklee’s vibrant, diverse, and innovative campus culture to life.

Reporting to the Associate Director for Student Involvement, the Coordinator will collaborate with students and colleagues across the college to design and implement events, programs, and campus traditions that deepen student engagement, strengthen community, and build lasting pride in Berklee. From the buzz of Welcome Week to the rhythm of Mingus Madness, this role is at the heart of what makes Berklee’s student life truly unique.

This is an opportunity to shape the Berklee student experience through intentional programming that supports creativity, tradition, civic engagement, and belonging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Berklee’s community-building efforts by co-leading the planning and execution of large-scale campus traditions and spirit-building events.

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Community Connectors, student leaders who design inclusive, fun programs for the broader student body.

  • Manage the institution’s mascot program and foster visibility at key events and pop-up moments.

  • Assist in developing and assessing new and existing campus-wide traditions, such as Fall Fest, Senior Week, and Best of Berklee.

  • Create opportunities for student recognition and celebration throughout the year.

  • Lead voter registration and civic engagement campaigns on campus.

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director and the broader Student Life team on Orientation, Commencement, and other institutional events.

  • Contribute to Berklee’s digital presence through social media strategy and content creation.

  • Support other Student Engagement initiatives as needed.

What You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years of experience in higher education, student affairs, or a related field (experience in arts-focused environments is a plus).

  • A passion for working with creative students and building community.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.

  • An inclusive and equity-minded approach to student engagement.

  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Experience with student supervision, event planning, or budget management is a plus.

Why Berklee?

Berklee is a place where the world’s most inspired artists come together to learn, grow, and make lasting change through creativity. Our mission is to educate, train, and develop students to excel in music and the arts — and your work will directly support that goal.

As part of the Student Life team, you’ll join a community that is:

  • Committed to work-life balance, flexibility, and wellness

  • Deeply collaborative, with a culture rooted in inclusion, respect, and innovation

  • Invested in your growth, offering generous benefits and opportunities for professional development

You’ll work on a campus buzzing with talent and creativity — and help students make the most of their Berklee journey.
