Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 6am-2:30pm M-F

Summary:


Implements, coordinates and ensures operational effectiveness of all material management activities for the Perioperative Department. Coordinates computer assisted purchasing inventory and patient charge systems where appropriate. Monitors compliance with all safety, sanitation and quality control requirements. Assumes the responsibilities for maintaining the Materials Management Information System. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required:

Associates Degree in Sciences/Business discipline (i.e. Business management, Surgical Technology, Purchasing, and Supply Management).

In lieu of degree, 4 years of combined procurement and/or materials management experience.

Two years of experience in a materials management setting with demonstrated knowledge of the material process flow from requisition to disposition AND familiarity with computerized activity for purchasing and inventory management.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work independently.

Strong problem solving skills.

Excellent mathematical, analytical and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft Office

Preferred:

Healthcare materials management and procurement experience.

Experience with Lawson.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience

Graduate of an Operating Room Technician program.

Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Ability to push/pull up to 200 pounds. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
