Job Description

Baptist Neighborhood Hospital, a community-focused healthcare facility in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT/Radiology Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality CT and general radiology imaging services that support accurate diagnosis and timely treatment, while delivering the personalized and compassionate care that defines our hospital.
Working closely with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists, you will perform CT and diagnostic radiographic procedures according to established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients, explaining procedures to reduce anxiety, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam. Using your expertise in cross-sectional anatomy, imaging techniques, and radiation safety, you will obtain clear, diagnostic-quality images while adhering to ALARA principles and dose optimization guidelines.
Daily responsibilities include reviewing provider orders for appropriateness, selecting and adjusting technical factors based on patient condition and exam type, and operating CT and radiographic equipment in a fast-paced hospital environment that may include emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. You will start and manage IV lines for contrast administration as permitted, monitor patients for any adverse reactions, and communicate promptly with the care team regarding critical findings or patient concerns. Accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record, along with proper use of PACS and radiology information systems, is an essential part of the position.
As part of Baptist Neighborhood Hospital's collaborative and patient-centered culture, you will actively contribute to a positive work environment by communicating clearly with colleagues, supporting workflow during busy periods, and assisting in training or mentoring less experienced staff as needed. You will participate in ongoing quality improvement efforts, equipment checks, and routine maintenance procedures, helping to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient imaging services for our patients.
This position is well-suited for a technologist who values both technical excellence and compassionate care. You should be comfortable working on-site in a hospital environment that may require rotating shifts, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage to meet patient needs. In return, you will benefit from a supportive team, access to ongoing training and professional development, and opportunities to grow your skills across a broad range of CT and radiographic exams. Baptist Neighborhood Hospital is committed to your professional growth and well-being, encouraging continuous learning and fostering a culture of excellence, empathy, and respect.
The ideal candidate will hold current ARRT certification in Radiography, with advanced certification in CT or the willingness to obtain it within a defined timeframe. A strong understanding of anatomy, imaging physics, and radiation safety, combined with excellent communication skills and a calm, patient-focused demeanor, will help you succeed in this role. At Baptist Neighborhood Hospital, you will play a key role in delivering efficient, high-quality imaging services that directly impact patient outcomes and support our mission of providing exceptional, community-centered care.PDN-a1b5f009-a2ac-4234-ba85-8d0c77871ebc
