JOB SUMMARY:
The Energy Efficiency Analyst plays a key role in supporting the delivery of commercial and residential energy efficiency programs to achieve regulatory and organizational objectives. This position works closely with program managers and analysts to identify customer programs and assist in recruiting customers, vendors, and contractors for the implementation of MPC’s energy efficiency measures. Additionally, the analyst is responsible for tracking energy and demand reductions resulting from these programs to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. The role also includes supporting various other initiatives that contribute to overall program success.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Business, Construction Technology, or related strongly preferred
- Minimum 2-years’ experience working with residential or commercial energy efficiency programs or other similar construction/building-related industry strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively internally and externally across varying knowledge levels
- Demonstrate ability to assist with recruiting and coordinating programs with external vendors
- Excellent interpersonal and sales skills; oral and written communication and computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan campaigns, schedule appointments, maintain and track data – customers, incentives, contractors, program goals
- Ability to maintain a budget and general understanding of MPC’s energy efficiency cost effectiveness goals
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program Deliverables
- Program Invoicing: Receive program submittals from contractors and/or customers. Validate that program documentation meets program policies, procedures, and regulatory audit requirements. Approve projects and processes payments, including check requests, customer bill credits, and PO contract payments. Assist with management and execution of scope of works for contract compliance (contracted contractors and suppliers).
- Manage Program Submittals
- Work with field staff to capture accurate information regarding project submittals. Ensure all data is entered and processed timely and correctly to maintain consistency across all programs. Collect data accurately to guarantee that program goals are met in a timely manner. Drives continuous process improvement.
- Third-Party Coordination
- Support third-party meetings, driving diverse services that support multiple programs. Support new/existing programs as needed in a time-sensitive manner (including platforms like Marketplace, Tango, Opower).
- Marketing and Communications Support
- Coordinate with Marketing liaison and Corporate Communications to develop sound strategies for marketing energy efficiency program offerings. Assist with development of internal/external communication and promotion of energy efficiency programs and results. Receive program submittals from contractors and/or customers, validate program documentation meets program (P&P, regulatory audit) requirements, approve project and process for payment. Assist with management of and support the execution of scope of works for contract compliance.
