Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Responsible for coordinating with contractors, developers and builders to conduct routine Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections for properties under construction.
- Must have the ability to develop positive working relationships with staff from Public Works, Development and Permits, and the VA Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to coordinate Erosion and Stormwater Management Ordinance and Virginia Erosion and Stormwater Management Program enforcement.
- Coordinates with City staff from Public Works and Development and Permits to accomplish goals, communicate information, and coordinate interdepartmental Erosion and Stormwater Management Ordinance enforcement.
- Investigates citizen complaints into Erosion and Sediment Control and Stormwater Violations.
- Prepares correspondence and maintains database reports and records such as erosion and sediment control routine inspection forms and SWPPP inspections records.
- Reviews erosion and sediment control and stormwater management construction design plans and sequence of construction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
