Environmental Technician
The ideal candidate will collect samples, observes facility operations, interprets data, and communicates issues with operations and management. Provides expertise including technical training to assure compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements. Troubleshoots and maintains an environmental electronic database and inspection records and modifies as needed. Provides expertise to implement new software and equipment to continue on-going environmental compliance. Directs contractors as necessary.
What you’ll do?
Conducts facility environmental testing and sampling in accordance with strict regulatory procedures. This may include providing technical training to assist with on-going compliance. Requires high attention to detail.
Interprets data and communicates environmental issues to operations and environmental management. Provide recommendations to encourage environmental excellence throughout maintenance and operations.
Performs inspections of plant areas to assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provides expertise to implement new software and equipment to continue on-going environmental compliance.
Troubleshoots and manages environmental field sampling data using an electronic database.
Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
High School/GED required.
2-3 Years Environmental Health and Safety experience
1-2 Years Microsoft Office Suite experience
2-3 Years Operations experience preferre
Class D Domestic Wastewater Operator License preferred
Class D Potable Drinking Water Operator License preferred
