We're currently seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician I to join our dynamic Facility Maintenance Division. This is your opportunity to make a real impact-helping to maintain and improve the structural integrity and safety of the city buildings that serve our community every day.
What You'll Be Doing:As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, working directly to support the function and appearance of city facilities-from minor renovations to routine upkeep.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing structural maintenance and repair work, including light construction.
- Locksmith services, including installation, repair, and replacement of locks and door hardware.
- Sheetrock and drywall installation, finishing, and repair.
- Trim carpentry, including installation and repair of baseboards, crown molding, and other finish work.
- Flooring repair and installation for a variety of surfaces.
- Door and window repair, adjustment, and replacement.
- Repairing shingle and built-up roofing systems.
- Completing small-scale structural modifications during building renovations.
- Overseeing and inspecting work performed by contractors to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintaining detailed records and managing material purchases for assigned projects.
