Skills and Competencies

  • 5+ years' experience in direct business-to-business sales, focusing on financial services and/or corporate treasury customers.
  • Solid understanding of global financial services industry, market dynamics, and customer business drivers.
  • Ability to present both high-level information and detailed product/service demonstrations.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills and ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusion.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building and client service orientation.
  • Ability to interact with senior executives internally and externally.
  • High attention to detail; able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in exploring agentic AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education

Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor's) required, preferably in business, economics, finance, marketing, or related fields.

Responsibilities

Drive sales for complex products/services by managing the full sales cycle, building client relationships, and delivering strategic guidance.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute sales strategies to meet/exceed annual goals aligned with company vision.
  • Work with sales colleagues and internal stakeholders to drive the sales process from prospecting to closure.
  • Lead business development in assigned territories; partner with Solution Specialists for proposals and targeted client demos.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Strategy to improve product quality and develop new revenue sources.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
  • Provide client-specific customer service and product overviews.
  • Assess client needs by understanding their business requirements.
  • Identify and introduce additional products/services to clients.
  • Act as market expert, providing product/service use cases during sales cycles.
  • Serve as liaison between client service, clients, and implementation teams for service opportunities.
  • Coordinate Moody's Analytics responses to product/service information requests.
  • Represent company at industry and company-sponsored events.
  • Resolve client issues using interpersonal skills; assist in preparing and sharing market insights.
  • Assist in training new team members.
  • Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management.
  • Position requires travel (approximately 20%-40%).

About the team

Our Sales team is responsible for delivering Moody's Analytics solutions to banking clients across the Americas, helping them solve complex challenges through tailored offerings.

By joining our team, you will contribute to Moody's by: driving strategic growth through consultative sales, building trusted client relationships with market insights, collaborating across teams to shape go-to-market strategies. You'll be part of exciting work in, banking and financial services, especially credit risk and compliance, strategic sales across key U.S. regions and a high-performing, collaborative environment.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is$93,600.00-$135,750.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
