Position: Solution Architect Specialist

Location: McLean, VA (Full-time on-site, Monday–Friday)

Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire (CTH)

Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Compensation: $75-100.50/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect Specialist to define and drive the technical vision for enterprise-level solutions. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Java development, architectural design patterns, and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in cloud-native architectures and a passion for leveraging AI/ML technologies to solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define high-level solution intent, target state architectures, and roadmaps
• Create reference architectures and design patterns for consistent implementation
• Own and maintain detailed solution intent and product architecture
• Plan and develop architectural runway for new business features
• Evaluate solution alternatives and emerging technologies
• Integrate Generative AI and ML capabilities within enterprise frameworks
• Support deployment and incident resolution processes
• Build reference implementations and maintain design pattern catalog

Your Impact:

• Collaborate with product and business teams to align technical architecture
• Partner with enterprise architecture and security teams for compliance
• Lead technical evaluations and proof-of-concept efforts
• Guide development teams through design reviews and implementation
• Resolve technical and business requirement issues
• Apply AI/ML trends to enhance business capabilities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 18+ years of overall experience, including 8+ years as a hands-on Solution Architect
• 15+ years of Java development experience
• Strong knowledge of design and architectural patterns
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and enterprise transformation
• Proven ability to apply Generative AI/ML to business problems
• Experience in the mortgage or financial services industry is a plus
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms and tools
