The Law Enforcement Clinical Support Program is a unique partnership between law enforcement and Riverside Community Care’s Emergency Services program. Under the guidance and supervision of LECS Program management, otherwise defined as Riverside Emergency Services’ Management, the Clinician will operate under the guidance and supervision of Riverside management, but subject to the day-to-day direction of local law enforcement officials as required by the Dedham LECS Program representatives.

The Jail Diversion Program Clinician will work collaboratively with the Community Crisis Intervention Team, local law enforcement, and community partners.

In this role, the Clinician will:

  • Provide flexible mobile or station-based crisis intervention, counseling, assessment, triage, referral, and education to individuals and/or families in the community as requested by the police department
  • Assist with referrals for mental health treatment and support services
  • Respond with law enforcement to calls requiring mental health support or intervention
  • Provide outreach to community members to assist in the development of crisis plans as indicated
  • Provides assistance to community members seeking substance abuse treatment.

Pay Rate:

  • Unlicensed Clinician: $74,254.54/salaried
  • Independent Licensure: $79,566.03/salaried

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours

Required Skills

  • Five years of experience in the mental health field required
  • Two years of experience in the justice system preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for local travel

Required Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or mental health discipline required
