Qualified candidates must also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective teamwork, an attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Candidates must have strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build cross-functional relationships with functional department heads and field leadership
- Learn, understand, and stay informed about the competitive landscape for NFP’s various business lines, including Property & Casualty, Benefits & Life, and Wealth & Retirement
- Evaluate and summarize M&A prospect information obtained through both proprietary processes and banker-led auctions
- Determine M&A targets’ cultural and operational fit with NFP by collaborating with teammates across multiple departments and understanding the strategic rationale of each transaction
- Assess M&A target metrics, including financial performance, and have the ability to clearly articulate summary findings to M&A team members as well as executive leadership
- Assist in financial analysis and due diligence activities by constructing pro-forma financial statements, financial valuation models, and other key quantitative analyses
- Drive transactions to close through process-oriented project management of key transaction milestones, up to and including integration
- Prepare materials for use in external business development initiatives, as well as internal meetings (including the M&A pipeline), using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other presentation tools
Position and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required
- 2 years of experience required
- Accounting and Finance experience, including financial modeling, required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with all levels of client management
- Problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and be self-driven, with ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities
- Strong, independent judgment
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism
- Experience in a sales role a plus

The base salary range for this position is $67,000 to $91,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
