Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Shift: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $27.00 an hour


Job Description
Repair all equipment, maintain mechanical equipment, installs equipment, perform changeovers of equipment on products, perform building maintenance, welds, fabrication, minor sheet metal work, and electrical trouble shooting.

You would report to the Production Team Leader. This position is onsite at the North Mankato, MN Facility.

Essential duties (not all inclusive):

Provide daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production and auxiliary equipment, including forklifts, pressure washer, rooftop units, heating and cooling units according to our policy
Support the installation of company machines and equipment
Provide technical and problem-solving support for the Operations staff
Work with contractors and supplies for advice on maintenance related issues
Coordinate maintenance tasks around production needs as best as possible
Comply with all safety policies. Report all unsafe activities and fix safety issues
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

Coach team members on Maintenance issues
Mechanical assemblies (gearboxes, drives etc.), Preventive maintenance, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, SAP
Basic electrical knowledge (3 phase, breakers, schematic reading, etc.)
Education and Experience

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 1 or more years related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

You must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
While performing the responsibilities of this Job, you are frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
