Key Responsibilities
- Proactively conducting outbound calls to advisors in assigned region
- Ensure a high level of advisor satisfaction by responding to inbound calls and emails from advisors to provide technical expertise on sales strategies, product rules/regulations, and solutions to drive advisory sales.
- Maintain strong working relationships with product partners, IRG, and regional team. This role will also work closely with the other internal sales desks and internal business partners to support client/advisor needs.
- Accurately track all activity in Salesforce.com and track/submit all business expenses in Concur Expense Management system.
- Utilize Microsoft Teams for advisor sales interactions.
- Provide support and participate in advisor/client presentations and field facing events as required.
- In partnership with WMS RVP, travel within region as required to participate in one-on-one advisor sales calls, client events, and/or to deliver group presentations.
- Complete required coursework to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field
- 5+ years' experience in financial services industry, financial sales, or financial wholesaling with proven phone skills
- Active Series 7 and Series 63 & 65 (or Series 66) or the ability to obtain within 120 days
- Deep understanding of advisory platform: (i.e. Active Portfolios, Signature Wealth, SPS Advantage, SPS Advisor, Separate Accounts, Strategist UMA, etc.)
- Overnight travel required up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
- CFP, CRPC, APMA, ChFC designations preferred (or strong desire to achieve)
- Experience as a financial planner, financial advisor, or investment broker
- Experience with Ameriprise Financial product suite
- Knowledge of the Ameriprise field structure
- Proven ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly
- Demonstrated sales and coaching experience and understanding of the wholesaling process
- Must be open to Quality Sales Call coaching
- Independent self-starter with strong teamwork orientation and relationship skills
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong presentation skills using MS Teams
- Must have a clean compliance record

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $70,000 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
