As a Manager within the Credit Risk organization, you will be responsible for independently assessing the creditworthiness of institutional trading counterparts of Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) as well as monitor the credit and market exposure to these counterparts. Your role will primarily focus on the review of Hedge Funds, Broker Dealers and Registered Investment Advisors and will also include exposure on alternative assets through credit analysis on traditional and non-traditional market participants. You will perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of the financial condition of firms, including the products and markets in which a firm is engaged, investment strategy, strength of the management team and whether there is reputational risk in doing business with the counterpart. You will monitor trading line usage for assigned counterparts, proactively identify emerging risks, and escalate issues with actionable recommendations to the Vice President of Credit Risk as appropriate.
The Team
The Fidelity Institutional Credit Risk Management Team sits within the Fidelity Enterprise Risk Management organization and is part of the Credit and Counterparty Center of Excellence. The team is responsible for credit risk assessments for new and existing clients including but not limited to banks, broker/dealers, hedge funds, registered investment advisers and corporations.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting
- 3 - 5 plus years of related credit experience
- CFA or CFA Candidacy helpful but not required
The Skills You Bring
- Your knowledge of Prime Brokerage, Capital Markets products, digital assets, investment strategies, financial statement analysis and accounting principals
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills that will be leveraged in influencing decisions
- Your ability to work effectively in a trading environment, prioritize workload and contribute as a member of a dynamic, fast paced team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Your experience with Bloomberg, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau and Power BI
The Value You Deliver
- Performing written financial and risk analysis on all new and existing trading counterparts and establishing appropriate trading guidelines based on analysis
- Monitoring and escalating credit and market exposure as necessary, utilizing various financial tools to assess, monitor, and measure daily counterparty trading activity
- Collaborating with Compliance, Legal, Collateral and Operational Risk teams and building relationships cross the organization to resolve issues and support the needs of the Fidelity Prime Services business
- Advising the business to ensure an effective risk governance structure and communication of Credit Risk Management policies and procedures
- Documenting enhancements to existing credit risk policies and procedures and assisting in drafting new policies and procedures as needed
- Developing and implementing credit risk monitoring techniques and assisting in the evaluation of new products and trading systems for the business and the Credit Risk group
- Participating in the development, enhancement and testing of risk management systems

The base salary range for this position is $80,000-153,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
