Materials Coordinator

Where will you work: Onsite – New Wales Facility, FL (3095 Highway 640 Mulberry, FL 33860)

Hours/Schedule: This position follows the 9/80 schedule 7:00 AM -4:00 PM Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM alternating Fridays.

The Materials Coordinator is primarily responsible for verifying and expediting maintenance materials and operational supplies for planned work. In addition, they may be required to assist in emergency work, as well as assist Procurement in the ordering and sourcing function as technical needs arise. This position is responsible for verifying the kitting process and reporting out accordingly when issues arise. Communicate daily with scheduler and area personnel to ensure kit deliveries and returns are accurately handled. Monitor Warehouse reports to ensure anticipated deliveries, satisfy requests and expedite as needed. Coach, and develop personnel assigned to manage kitting/staging activities. Monitor work order feedback for opportunities to improve processes. Communicate daily with the Kitting Team to ensure a high level of customer service to work execution personnel. Provide technical clarification to kitting teams on planned work orders, verify material availability, determine proper sourcing and ordering materials. Work closely with other departments/personnel to resolve issues relating to material substitutions or availability. Provide feedback to improve or correct vendor, parts, and bill of material records. Comply with all associated EHSS policies and practices.

What you’ll do?

  • Managing backorder statuses (parts that may not arrive by the scheduled start date).

  • Work closely with plant personnel on resolving issues related to material substitutions or availability.

  • Provide recommendations to maintenance supervisors for resolution of off-shift partial kit usage.

  • Provide feedback to planners to improve and correct records.

  • Manage cataloging process; screen all requested parts to be cataloged.

  • Work with requestor and suppliers to ensure all specifications are correctly identified and entered Maximo.

  • They must check to ensure the items will not be duplicated in the system.

  • Facilitate inventory additions process.

  • Reviewing out of stock issues in the warehouse and elevate to the appropriate purchasing agent and area coordinator.

  • Assist with setup of VMI programs.

  • Communicate daily with scheduler and area personnel to ensure kit deliveries and returns are accurately handled.

  • Manage the returns and processing of the core repairable spares.

  • Communicate daily with the kitting team to ensure a high level of customer service to work execution personnel.

  • Review planned work orders, verify material availability, determine proper sourcing and ordering materials.

  • Provide feedback to improve or correct vendor, parts, and bill of material records.

  • Coach and develop personnel assigned to manage kitting/staging activities.

  • Monitor work order feedback for opportunities to improve processes.

  • Comply with all associated EHSS policies and practices.

What you’ll need:

  • High School/GED required

  • Phosphates Industry - 3>5 Years

  • Plant Maintenance - 5>8 Years

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Technologist Diploma - preferred

  • Microsoft Office Suite - preferred

  • Maximo - preferred
