Ready to make a real impact on the future of finance? A Fortune 500 financial services firm, in partnership with Aquent, is seeking a skilled .NET Developer to modernize their core systems. You will play a pivotal role in migrating legacy applications to a cutting-edge platform, collaborating with a high-performing agile team to deliver innovative solutions. As a key member of the development team, you will:

  • Collaborate with architects, development leads, and product owners to refine software requirements, design features, and prioritize tasks.
  • Modernize existing systems by migrating legacy functions to a new platform, working within an agile development environment.
  • Contribute actively to the team, taking ownership of deliverables, assisting colleagues, and sharing best practices.
  • Partner with the scrum master and product owner to develop accurate sizing estimates for development tasks.
  • Leverage automated software testing tools and frameworks to ensure the highest quality software delivery.
  • Support integration efforts, combining various subsystems into cohesive, functional systems.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technology risks.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6-8 years of professional .NET development experience (C#, .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET).
  • Extensive experience enhancing and troubleshooting data processing through scheduled batch jobs and queues (RabbitMQ preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL stored procedures and CRUD operations.
  • Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB preferred).
  • Experience developing and managing REST and SOAP-based Web Service APIs in a transaction processing environment.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, containers, or other cloud platforms).
  • 3-5 years of front-end web development experience (ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Backbone or other frameworks).
  • Proven experience working in a scrum team within an agile environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex environmental and data issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the financial industry, particularly retirement plan services.
  • Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Karma, Sparta, etc.).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60.90 to $67.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
