A Day in the Life:

This position is located in the Bunge North America soybean processing plant in Decatur, IN. The Packaging Operator position is responsible for safely and accurately performing various operator duties including moving product and material throughout the packaging department with a forklift and the operation of scales, conveyors, wrapping equipment, and material moving equipment. Candidates must actively participate in Bunge's Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

Position Details:

Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and 2nd/3rd shifts.

Pay: $29.93 an hour

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Adhere to the food safety culture to provide safe product to consumers
  • Report any concerns with safe food practices
  • Operate liquid and cube packaging lines
  • Document various checklists
  • Load trucks with finished product
  • Utilize warehouse management system
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety programs
  • Perform department sanitation duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Follows good manufacturing practices

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willing to work overtime and flexible hours
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work 2nd / 3rd shift
  • Good attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in an industrial environment
