Overview

This position is for an Extrusion Packaging Technician in the Repligen manufacturing group. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise packaging of silicone tubing, used in the global bioprocessing industry. Operating in a highly controlled cleanroom environment, the Technician I ensures every product is packaged with accuracy, safety, and full compliance with stringent company, industry, and GMP standards.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gown appropriately and maintain compliance with ISO 7 cleanroom requirements 
  • Execute assigned packaging floor tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Follow all SOPs, work instructions, and safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Read and interpret quality documents, inspection standards, and molding drawings
  • Perform inspection and cleaning of molded and extruded parts prior to packaging
  • operate winding reels to spool and organize long tubing sets
  • Prepare, bag, and seal parts according to defined packaging procedures
  • Utilize measuring instruments and basic math skills to verify component specifications
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in quality, efficiency and safety

Qualifications

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or packaging role preferred
  • Experience in a cleanroom, medical device, or bioprocessing manufacturing environments strongly preferre
  • Quality control, inspection, or regulated industry experience is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs. safely
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small parts
  • Ability to perform detailed visual inspection tasks
  • Ability to stand for extended periods while working in a cleanroom environment

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a cleanroom environment with gowning requirements
  • May require standing for extended periods and performing repetitive manual tasks
  • Must comply with all safety, quality, and environmental policies

The estimated hourly rate/salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $19/Hr. -$24/Hr. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts. All compensation and benefits information will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
