Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Determine most cost-effective vehicle assignments.
- Make vehicle repair decisions using standard calculations and logic when the decision has been escalated to Fleet by our fleet management partner.
- Work with our fleet management partner and Field leadership to ensure registrations of all vehicles are up to date to ensure a positive experience for our drivers.
- Quickly and effectively respond to questions and requests from the Field via our ticket queue and email. This could also include working with the field on the phone.
- Review cost and operational trends and recommend improvements. In some cases, the employee will need to effectively manage related projects from cradle to grave.
- Support the fleet's safety culture by providing trainings when requested.
- Actively seek ways to reduce the administrative load of the Fleet Team so more time can be spent on cost-out and optimization activities.
- Audit current processes and recommend improvements.
- Establish and publish performance measurements to monitor and improve performance.
- Communicate with contracted suppliers on a regular basis to leverage their support. Support the Fleet Manager in holding suppliers accountable.
- Communicate effectively between cross functional teams and leadership.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Minimum Requirements:
- HS Diploma
- 3-4 years of relevant military experience
- Analytical skill set that helps solve issues by analyzing charts and trends and putting results into action.
- Excellent communications skills, including problem solving, team motivation, and project management.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables/functions/data filtering).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have prior experience with fleet management systems and/or processes.
- Some college experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects.
- Exposure to Power Query, Power Automate, SQL
