Repligen is growing, and we’re excited to expand our team at our new facility in Shrewsbury, MA! We are currently seeking a skilled and imaginative 1st Shift Fabrications Technician, Manual Plastic Maker to join our workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for craftsmanship—whether your background is in woodworking, welding, or another hands-on trade, we’d love to see how your skills can translate to creating high-quality plastic components

Responsibilities

· Interpret blueprints, sketches, or client concepts to build custom plastic assemblies and equipment.

· Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP) in relation to operations/organization of work flow.

· Use hand tools and traditional woodworking and welding techniques to manufacture plastic devices.

· Ensure a high standard of craftsmanship, finishing, and durability in all projects.

· Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times.

· Use various hand and power tools and equipment, such as band saws, drill press, pipe benders, etc.

Qualifications

· HS Diploma or GED equivalent, at 18 years of age.

· Due to the nature of the work and compliance with safety protocols/regulations, fluency in English (reading and writing) is required.

· Able to work 6:00am - 2:30pm.

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Ability to read and understand dimensional drawings and specifications, bill of materials and job order requirements

· Experience using various hand and power tools and equipment, such as band saws, drill press, etc.

· Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP) in relation to operations/organization of work flow.

· Attention to detail.

· Finished carpentry, welding or similar experience is helpful

Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package. We offer a wide range of benefits such as paid time off, health/dental/vision, retirement benefits and flexible spending accounts. All compensation and benefits information will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
