Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop, modify, maintain, and test embedded software using software engineering best practices and standards
• Participate in the full life cycle of software development, to include requirements development, application development, modular testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and upgrades
• Apply technical expertise in solving complex integration problems
• Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and/or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university with at least 5-years of systems or software engineering experience OR a master's degree in one of the above listed majors with at least 3-years of systems or software engineering experience OR a PhD in one of the above listed majors.
• Will also accept 4 additional years of related systems or software engineering experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficient in C/C++ software development
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• Experience with Qt Integrated Development Environment
• Ability to efficiently operate in a fast-paced team in a customer-driven environment
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university with at least 5-years of systems or software engineering experience OR a master's degree in one of the above listed majors with at least 3-years of systems or software engineering experience
• Experience with development in the VxWorks environment
• Experience developing custom displays and user interfaces
• Experience with embedded software development, integration and testing
• Experience developing and deploying software on FPGA platforms with embedded ARM cores
• Familiarity with containerization applications
• Familiarity with emulation of embedded processor systems
• Familiarity with Electronic Warfare (EW) and radar principles
• Familiarity with software configuration management tools (JIRA, GitLab.)
• Familiarity with integration of avionics interfaces (Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, ARINC-429, etc.)
• Active Secret Security Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
