Principal Software Systems Integration and Test Engineer
Job Description
This role has extensive travel to OCONUS and CONUS locations at around 50% of the time. When not on travel, this position is in Colorado Springs, CO.
Primary responsibilities for this position are related to the system integration, test, and re of high-precision tracking radar systems and associated electronic disciplines.
This role will be on-site daily when not at a site and will be supporting the Integration and Test for documentation including development of test procedures.
Relocation assistance is NOT available for this position.
Job Duties:
• Support early use operations on the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) radar system.
• Performs software testing on the DARC radar system.
• Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Ensure effective communication between assigned engineers and all other participants in the integration and testing process.
• Support the development of system test solutions in accordance with project technical, schedule and cost constraints.
• Support early use training on DARC radar system.
• Assist team in development of innovative Test Automation solutions.
• Participate in, prepare and execute comprehensive system/element level test plans and procedures.
• Support system/element level test planning and test readiness reviews.
• Document test requirements and methodologies in the requirements management system.
• Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent and complete.
• Reports to the system integration and test lead.
Basic Qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or, 3 years with a Master's Degree or 2 Years with a PhD in a STEM field from an accredited University or College
• Active Top-Secret clearance at the time of application, with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or related languages
• Experience conducting formal requirement verification test procedures
• Willing to travel up to 50% internationally and domestically
• Experience in the development of software requirement verification procedures
• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations experience (in lieu of degree)
Evidence of skills, knowledge or experience in at least two of the listed preferred qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with hands-on missile defense, space tracking, and/or satellite operations
• Experience working as part of an Integration and Test team across multiple engineering disciplines
• Experience as a member of a team integrating large, complex systems comprised of diverse HW and SW elements
• Experience with large ground data processing systems integration
• Experience with radar processing algorithms or software integration
• Ability to support Integration and Test/Checkout (IATC) of Hardware and Software configuration items
• Ability to document and record integration activities, including plans, procedures, results, and deficiencies
• International integration and/or test experience
• Software development integration and test methodologies
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• CompTIA Security+ Certification
• SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
