Quality Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Job Description

In this second shift position, you will report to the Quality Manager at our Macon, MO manufacturing facility; local producer of Banquet, Healthy Choice and Marie Callendar products. You will provide guidance, technical assistance and scheduling for quality assurance technicians and associates. As a quality assurance professional, you are involved in all aspects of quality and safety. You will assist us with audits, HACCP program evaluation, GMP training, sanitation evaluation, pest control, purchasing supplies, inspecting returned and incoming products, customer complaints, implementing procedures and evaluating new equipment installation or repair.

How Will You Affect our Business?

  • Coordinate quality assurance activities (e.g., audits, training, and purchasing)
  • Provide technical assistance to QA personnel
  • Monitor and verify the HACCP plan's CCPs following procedure
  • Conduct GMP and sanitation audits throughout the plant
  • Work with operations personnel on quality and safety issues
  • Verify operations control systems are functional and being followed
  • Places product on hold, release or disposition while following procedure
  • Evaluate damaged products
  • Coordinate resolution of customer complaints
  • Ensure SPC Management practices are followed
  • Review product and read measurements

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or other related degree. Education may be substituted for years of experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in food manufacturing
  • Experience with Food Safety Guidelines/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safe procedures and HACCP plans
  • 2+ years of experience managing direct reports required.
  • Understanding of government regulations (FDA, USDA)
  • Familiar with Fundamentals of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

Compensation:

Pay Range:$63,000-$93,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
