We are a leading producer of medium and large-caliber tactical and training ammunition for U.S. and allied militaries. Northrop Grumman is at the forefront of developing new, advanced ammunition types that include armor penetration, airbursting, proximity-fuzed and guided munitions to enhance lethality and overmatch on the battlefield.
Inspection of incoming goods & services to inspection plans, drawings and established standards for a variety of fabricated, machined, electro-mechanical assemblies, circuit cards, castings, etc. Perform visual and dimensional inspections per established criteria. Review of supplier data packages (test data and certifications) to requirements. Perform inspections for first article, lot acceptance tests and special requests per criteria.
Responsibilities:
• Inspection of received goods and services
• AS9102 First article inspections, LAT Lot Acceptance Testing, PCA (Physical Configuration Audits)
• Special/Prototype inspections
• Review of supplier test data and certification packages
• Develop CMM and VMM measurement programs
• Consult with engineers for measurement methodology
• Construct holding fixtures for CMM measurement
• Conduct internal audits
• Maintain lab practices/operations in compliance with standards & certifications
• Issue and follow up on discrepancy reports
• Support QMS audits and corrective actions
Basic Qualifications:
• High School degree. Associated Technical Degree, Certification, or Diploma
• Minimum of 6 years' dimensional inspection experience in the aerospace industry or similar highly regulated environment
• Knowledge of AS9100
• Minimum 3 years PC-DMIS or CMM Calypso programming experience
• Minimum 3 years Zone 3 VMM programming experience
• Experience reading blueprints
• Advanced GD&T skills
• Experienced in surface plate inspections using standard measuring equipment
• Dimensional inspection experience utilizing micrometers, bore gages, height gages, dial indicators, gage blocks, optical comparators, hardness testers, profilometers, etc.
• Experience inspecting circuit boards and assemblies
• Familiar with sampling plans
Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years' electro/mechanical inspection experience in aerospace or similar highly regulated environment.
• Formal advanced GD&T training
• IPC-A-600 and/or IPC-A-610 Certifications
• Experience with Net-Inspect
• Source Inspection experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $69,300.00 - $115,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
