Job Summary

The Research Fellow will perform research under the guidance of Dr. Davene Wright in the Department of Population Medicine (DPM). Specific projects will be determined based on the Fellow’s background and interests and agreed upon between Dr. Wright and the Fellow. Additionally, the Fellow may participate in data outcomes presentation, including potential academic conferences and manuscript preparation.

Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Participate in research projects based on the Fellow’s background and interests

May participate in the development of research protocols, surveillance plans, and analysis plans

Prepare manuscripts detailing research findings and submit to peer-reviewed journals

Participate in development of new analytic and data-sharing methods

Presents research findings within and outside of the department

Work closely with DPM faculty mentor to monitor progress and resolve issues that arise during the course of the research

Other duties and projects as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED:

Doctoral degree, such as an MD, PhD, or ScD, or in final stage of doctoral program in health policy, epidemiology, health services research, or related field

Advanced knowledge of epidemiologic methods and biostatistics

Familiar with statistical software, such as SAS and R

Ability to learn techniques for analyzing complex electronic healthcare data Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets

Salary Range

$31.15 -$46.72

Compensation & Total Rewards Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position represents a range of salaries for this role and similar roles across the organization. The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. As part of our comprehensive total rewards program, colleagues are also eligible for variable pay. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
