Are you passionate about identifying potential risks before they become challenges while supporting business partners build strategies that keep our organization protected? The Fidelity Fund and Investment Operation (FFIO) Risk Team is looking for a passionate, hard-working team member to help support the business in identifying, monitoring and mitigating risks in order protect the interests of the firm and our customers.

The Businesses We Support

FFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting, and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.

This role will primarily support the Fund Administration team as well as portions of Fund Operations within FFIO. This team, is part of a larger Risk team that supports other divisions of FFIO (e.g., Fund Operations, Fund Accounting, etc.) as well as a variety of Fidelity's Corporate Functions.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelors' Degree required
  • 10+ years' industry experience, including some Audit or other Risk Management related activities
  • Financial statement or fund operations experience helpful but not required
  • Demonstrated leadership or project management experience

  • Understands, supports and can articulate the vision, mission and strategy of Risk
  • Thinks strategically and approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate risks and drive positive change
  • Well versed in data analytics capabilities and tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau); knows when and how to move from sample-based testing to analyzing full populations to surface risk or identify control deficiencies
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, and shift focus quickly based on risk/business need
  • Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully in order to influence others, tailors messaging to audience
  • Builds strong and inclusive working relationships, in person and virtually, with business partners and colleagues
  • Adaptable to new information, changing business priorities, input from others, and lessons learned
  • Demonstrated risk management knowledge and experience, including risk assessment and control evaluation

The candidate's primary responsibility will be providing business unit risk support, including:

  • Proactively engaging with the business and leveraging data to identify risks, provide guidance, implement risk assessments, and perform testing activities
  • Continuously analyzing and assess the risk profile of the business
  • Helping to advance our data analytics strategies and use of digital technologies to support risk assessments and activities
  • Collaborating across our Risk team and the broader organization to optimize the Risk Management support provided to the business and advance the effectiveness of our program
