A Day in the Life:

The Sanitation Operator is responsible for housekeeping of the soybean processing plant, assisting Process Operators with their daily tasks, operating powered industrial vehicles. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, works well in a team environment, has a positive attitude, and has the ambition to further develop their career with the company.

Position Details:

Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Pay rate: $22.41/hour

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Keep all work areas, buildings, and grounds clean at all times
  • Sweep/scoop/discard soybeans, soybean meal, and grain dust within the facility
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (Bobcat, forklift, telehandler) to move grain and equipment
  • Assist Process Operators with their daily production tasks (sampling, process monitoring)
  • Complete all paperwork as required
  • Actively participate in all aspects of safety including near miss reporting and meetings
  • Know and follow all safety, environmental, and emergency procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong safety mindset
  • Ability to work at varying heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather as needed (heat/rain/sleet/snow)
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible hours when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
