The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for implementing internal and external communication strategies that align with the organization’s overall goals. This role will primarily support the communication objectives of the Global HR organization, while also providing support to other Global Functions such as Corporate Social Responsibility, IT, Legal, EBS, and Procurement. The specialist will manage the Global Functions communications editorial calendar, collaborating closely with the Global Communications team and functional partners to ensure integration and consistency. Additionally, this individual will develop and execute communication plans that define goals, messaging, methodology, and timelines, ensuring all efforts reflect the ompany’s mission, vision, values, and align with external messaging to stakeholders.
What will you do?
Develop, execute, and manage communications that align with and support the overall goals of the team and organization. Support communications, change management, and project management for global initiatives that progress the company’s strategic priorities, support the company’s principles, and provide a reasonable return on investment for the effort, resources, and dollars expended. Build and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
Develop internal channel and content strategies (Viva, Teams, emails, etc.) to effectively reach and connect with a variety of internal audiences. Partner with Delivery to define and advance Viva Engage (and Connections) Global Function communications needs today and into the future. Integrate analytics to help drive decisions.
Own and manage corporate editorial calendar, partnering with colleagues in the business units, international locations, and external communications to align and integrate efforts
Miscellaneous communications projects as assigned.
What do you need?
Bachelor's degree required, major in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations or Marketing
5+ years of experience in a public relations agency or corporate public relations department.
Strong writing and editing skills (must follow AP style)
Must have the ability to craft communications for a variety of stakeholders
Experience developing and implementing communication plans.
Experience working across multiple communication channels
Self-confident and strong attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent facilitation and listening skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Highly professional demeanor and must have diplomacy skills
Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization
Strong business acumen
Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment
Must demonstrate sound judgment and decisiveness
Ability to travel within U.S., Canada as needed
