The Team
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Global Corporate Real Estate to join American Tower’s Global Operations organization’s Supply Chain Management team. The team manages the company’s global corporate real estate portfolio, including office and facility footprint planning, lease administration, workplace buildouts, and vendors’ performances.
Day to day you will lead sourcing and operational strategies across global corporate real estate, oversee service providers, partner with internal stakeholders to align real estate plans with business needs, and ensure the delivery of standardized, scalable workplace solutions. As a Senior Manager, you will guide global real estate transformation efforts, develop operational standards, and execute initiatives that support sustainability, operational efficiency, and global expansion.
What You Can Offer Us
- Lead the sourcing and operational strategies for all global corporate real estate, including office space planning, lease negotiations, facility management, and workplace services.
- Develop and maintain global standards for real estate operations, including performance metrics, service-level expectations, and operational protocols.
- Oversee the sourcing and performance of real estate and facilities service providers, including brokers, landlords, property managers, and workplace vendors.
- Drive the alignment of the corporate real estate strategy with business needs, growth plans, and operational requirements across all regions, regularly collecting and analyzing future needs and priorities from business leaders and performing research to ensure needs and priorities such as tax optimization, talent pool, and optimal cost are factored into forward looking real estate plans.
- Partner with the Finance and Legal departments on lease negotiations, administration, budgets, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with local office managers, providing support for lease compliance and issue resolution with landlords.
- Lead cost optimization and space utilization initiatives through benchmarking, consolidation planning, and cross functional collaboration.
- Ensure facilities comply with safety, security, accessibility; Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”); and corporate branding standards.
- Establish a global database of office locations, square footage, headcount allocations, and occupancy costs to drive planning and reporting transparency.
- Lead or support workplace strategy projects (e.g., new site selection, buildout, hybrid working enablement) in partnership with regional leaders and the Information Technology (“IT”) department.
- Identify opportunities to centralize real estate services, renegotiate contracts, and deploy shared service models across the portfolio.
- Maintain a scalable, repeatable playbook for real estate sourcing, contract execution, and facilities operations.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for real estate operations, offering insights, tools, and support to regional and functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support employee experience initiatives through real estate and workplace services design.
- Promote environmentally sustainable practices and materials in alignment with ESG commitments.
- Define enterprise wide office space standards, govern policies on office eligibility, and authorize reconfiguration requests.
- Oversee facilities management where applicable (e.g., owned offices).
- Act as the executive owner for new office buildouts and large scale expansion initiatives.
- Establish an office liaison program for locations without dedicated office management personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Real Estate, Business Administration, Facilities Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of corporate real estate experience required, including at least 5 years of global or multi region experience.
- Expertise in sourcing, managing, and optimizing corporate real estate and workplace services.
- Strong knowledge of real estate lease structures, facilities operations, space planning, and vendor performance management.
- Experience leading large scale real estate projects across multiple geographies in a matrixed or center led environment.
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally with Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and IT employees as well as with operational leaders.
- Familiarity with workplace technology platforms and real estate data systems, including Integrated Workplace Management System, Computer Aided Facility Management, and lease administration tools.
- Financial acumen with budgeting, cost optimization, and business case development experience.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and vendor negotiation skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, program management, and operational execution capabilities.
- English fluency required; multilingual capabilities preferred.
- Up to 30% international travel may be required to support corporate real estate initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment.
