What You'll Get to Do:
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer or Staff Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA.
Scope will be executed as a lab construct to ensure received subcontracted items functionally integrate (mechanically and thermally) into the larger system-of-systems environment using emulators. The selected candidate will eventually support assembly and integration into the larger system-of-systems.
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Monitoring subcontracted units requirements, interfaces and progress
• Support to various emulator definitions and creation
• Risk reduction interface validation efforts of subcontracted unit interfaces
• Mechanically and thermally integrating & testing of subcontractor items into a larger system(s)
• Working in a lab environment
This position will serve on-site in Redondo Beach, CA.
This requisition may be filled as a Senior Principal Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer or Staff Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer
This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers' requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 8 or more years of experience; 6 or more years with Master's Degree; 4 or more years with PhD
• 2 or more years of heat transfer and fluid dynamics background
• 2 or more years of integration and test experience
• Demonstrated experience in applying systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical documentation, presentations, and stakeholder interactions
• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
• Current Active DoW Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and FS Polygraph (Cannot start until all clearances have been obtained)
Preferred Qualifications for Senior Principal Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer
• Current Active DoW TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Master's Degree and/or PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline
• Experience in element or subsystem integration
• Experience in requirements and verification
•The position is only posted at Senior Principal at this time but a separate Staff role may be added at a later time.
Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
