Fidelity Investments is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Authentication Controls team within Enterprise CyberSecurity. This team provides Single Sign-On (SSO) and multi-factor authentication capabilities for hundreds of applications servicing the needs of the Fidelity workforce.
The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems/Science, or a closely related field.
Minimum of five years of IT experience in systems engineering or infrastructure support
Experience supporting modern authentication standards such as:
SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), OAuth 2.0, FIDO2/WebAuthn
Using platforms like Ping Identity and Microsoft Entra ID.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and network infrastructure.
Knowledge of Active Directory, SCIM and JWT.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience working in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
Excellent problem-solving skills with a commitment to the highest levels of quality.
The following skills / experience are highly preferable for this role:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as:
(Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell)
Ability to automate tasks, perform log analysis, and integrate with APIs using scripts.
Experience with:
Full stack development (front-end and back-end)
Version control tools (e.g., Git)
DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
A cyber security certification, such as (AZ-104, SC-300, CompTIA, AWS sysops).
The Team
Your role in the Authentication Controls team will see you supporting SSO products from the main industry vendors in a scaled, distributed, highly available environment. These solutions enable business units throughout Fidelity to offer SSO services in a secure and highly reliable manner, ensuring they in turn can provide products and services to the standards expected by Fidelity customers.
