Job Description
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You'll Get To Do:
The Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
• Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts
• Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design
• Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model
• Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical)
• Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis
• Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).
Required for Both Levels:
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must have a current or ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Systems Engineer (T-02):
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree
• 1+ years of experience developing system architecture in Cameo or similar tool
• 1+ year experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
• 1+ year experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities
• 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation
Principal Systems Engineer (T-03):
• Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related experience; 3 years experience with a Master of Science degree; 1 year experience with a PhD
• 2+ years of experience developing system architecture in Cameo or similar tool
• 1+ year experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
• 1+ year experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities
• 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
• Large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production
• Experience with implementing and using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, practices, and methods
• INCOSE CSEP and/ or OMG SysML Certifications
• Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
