Job Description
Summary:
This role will assist with assigned shipping and receiving functions to assure all materials are shipped and received in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Package and receive materials in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Communicate with various departments regarding product quality issues, material availability and processing issues.
- Load and unload trucks using a fork lift. Operate these fork lifts safely in accordance with established procedures.
- Work with engineering and production on continuous improvement/Six Sigma projects as needed.
- Maintain a safe work environment (5S and clean-up work area).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of education
- 1+ years shipping and receiving experience in manufacturing environment
- Certified forklift operator with 1+ years of fork lift experience. If not certified, willing and able to become certified
