Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.
This position will be located at our Aurora, Colorado site. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 (Principal) or a level 4 (Sr. Principal), depending on the candidate's experience as laid out in the basic qualifications detailed below as well as the interview assessment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Basic Requirements:
• Level 3 (Principal): Bachelor's degree in Science with 5+ years of software development experience; 3+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Level 4 (Sr. Principal): Bachelor's degree in Science with 8+ years of software development experience; 6+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Must have current Top Secret/SCI security clearance at time of application.
• Experience developing in Java
• Experience with software design and architecture
• Experience with software unit testing
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Microservice architecture and Object Oriented Design
Preferred Requirements:
• Experience with Keycloak
• Experience with Node.js Framework
• Experience as a front end GUI Designer and UI Implementation
• Experience with MongoDB
• Experience with agile development
Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
