- Design and architect end-to-end enterprise technology solutions across all business systems.
- Develop comprehensive IT architecture strategies that support business objectives.
- Create integration strategies between JD Edwards ERP, business applications, infrastructure platforms, and third-party systems.
- Design and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across the technology stack.
- Develop latest information system architectures, strategies, and processes that advance business objectives.
- Design scalable, performance-driven solutions for enterprise applications, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in technical design sessions and document technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with Data Analytics team and vendors to advance our AI use and maturity.
- Become deeply immersed in core business functions, processes, and workflows across Commercial, Energy, and Data Center cores.
- Document and analyze current business processes and underlying systems/applications.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and manage expectations.
- Identify gaps between current and desired end states.
- Produce high-quality work products including specifications, process flows, and technical documentation.
- Lead research and development, proof of concept and functional prototype efforts as required - be a hands-on resource.
- Provide technical guidance to IT teams, developers, and infrastructure engineers.
- Lead consulting engagements that require custom development, system integrations, and technology implementations.
- Manage technical delivery of solutions including application development, system integrations, and infrastructure deployments.
- Evaluate and recommend modern technologies, platforms, and enterprise applications.
- Lead proof-of-concept development for emerging technologies and business applications.
- Develop IT policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical support consulting services to users and department managers.
- Lead and manage technology initiatives across the organization.
- Build effective relationships with customers, design teams, and stakeholders that reflect company values.
- Determine solution feasibility and costing in support of business development.
- Provide oversight and governance of technology projects.
- Review and validate solution designs produced by other team members.
- Drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance.
- Manage third party resources and vendors effectively.
- Strong expertise in enterprise architecture and IT infrastructure design
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures
- Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable, performance-driven solutions
- Proficiency with multiple programming languages and development frameworks
- Knowledge of ERP systems (JD Edwards experience preferred)
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools
- Understanding of API design, microservices, web services, and integration patterns
- Knowledge of database design, data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Development experience across multiple technologies (.net, java, javascript, python, NodeJS, etc.)
- Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth)
- Experience with virtualization, containerization, and modern infrastructure technologies
- Knowledge of network architecture, security protocols, and IT service management and analytics platforms
- Knowledge of AI and various levels of implementation
- Experience planning, facilitating, eliciting, documenting, and managing business, functional and technical requirements
- Expertise in modeling/mapping business processes - both as-is and to-be states
- Proven ability to analyze complex business documents and respond to sensitive inquiries
- Experience with solution delivery including scoping, design, configuration, customization, and implementation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to both technical and business audiences
- Ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical personnel in large enterprises
- Strong leadership skills with ability to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
- Proven ability to drive projects from concept through completion with minimal guidance
- Elevated level of motivation, excellent follow-up, team-player that delivers within defined timelines
- Understanding of construction/electrical industry business processes (preferred)
