​​​Provides operational support for Truist’s most sophisticated portfolio of agented syndicated deals as well as bilateral and participated deals originated across multiple business lines. This role constitutes serving as the primary point of contact across various internal and external business partners (Borrowers, Lenders, Internal and External Counsel, Credit Risk, Portfolio and Relationship Management Teams, etc.) as it relates to the execution and closing of complex loan transactions. Ensures high quality service is administered for all internal and external clients while managing closing framework and associated risks within the supported portfolios for a large, complex banking organization. Portfolios supported are ASG, ABL, CIB, CCB, Dealer Finance, CRE, and Wealth products. Loan IQ and experience with syndication loans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

​1. Support all LOB’s with the execution and closing of complex syndicated loan transactions, including but not limited to, new deals, refinancing and amendments while managing and maintaining individual pipeline of active syndicated loan transactions.

​2. Collect and review legal documentation for operational feasibility, optimal execution mechanics and mitigation of operational risk. Execution of best practices and control, risk mitigation and escalation point of contact.

​3. Review internal loan related spreadsheets for accuracy and completeness and review/advise on funding mechanics and operational requirements.​

​​4. Able to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. ​

​​5. Liaise and coordinate pre-closing requirements with internal and external clients (LOB’s Credit Risk, Operations, Legal, Trade Settlements, Borrowers, Lenders).

​6. Assist with ad-hoc inquiries from Borrowers, Lenders, Arrangers pertaining to the closing process and ongoing maintenance of the deal. Participate and schedule internal conference calls to ensure pre-closing requirements have been met and resolve/escalate any outstanding issues.

​7. Identify areas of improvement to support process enhancement/efficiency.​


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

​​​1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. ​​

​​2. Extremely detail oriented with a proven track record of accuracy. ​

​​3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

​4. Knowledge of complex lending systems such as: AFS Vision, Loan IQ, SyndTrak, ClearPar, Loan IQ reporting tools / IBM Cognos, etc.

​5. Able to multi-task, prioritize, and operate successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

​6. Able to navigate and interpret complex legal documentation., loans funding mechanics, funds flows, etc.

​7. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

​8. Able to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment. ​

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 3+ years’ work experience in supporting syndicated loan operations.

​​2. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the syndicated loan market.

​3. 3+ years’ relevant work experience within Loan IQ. ​
