If you love digging into details, solving puzzles, and making sure everything adds up just right, this role has your name on it. As a Tax Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting our restaurants and communities by ensuring timely, accurate indirect tax reporting. You'll collaborate with internal partners and external service providers, contribute to audits and process improvements, and help keep our growing business compliant across multiple jurisdictions.
*This position will work a hybrid schedule at the Texas Roadhouse Support Center located in Louisville, Kentucky
What's On Your Plate
Compile, validate, and reconcile sales, use, and property tax data across the organization
Support the preparation and filing of monthly sales/use tax returns through thirdparty providers
Prepare and process monthly real estate tax payments and related journal entries
Assist with state and local tax notices, audits, and property tax appeals
Partner closely with Managing Partners and external tax advisors
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support special projects as the business evolves
Your Recipe for Success
Bachelor's degree in Business required; Accounting or Finance preferred
2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or tax; corporate sales/property tax experience a plus
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications
Experience with systems such as D365, OneSource, Vertex, BI tools, Basware, Alteryx, Power Automate, or SQL is a bonus
Comfortable working in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment with strong communication skills
